HOP Electric Mobility is all set to open its EV unit in Jaipur
HOP Electric Mobility has signed a pact with the Government of Rajasthan to open the company's first electric vehicle production centre in Jaipur. The agreement was signed at the Dubai World Expo held in 2021 in the Rajasthan Pavilion and soon it will start the construction of a factory capable of manufacturing around 2 lakh vehicles per annum. HOP Electric Mobility provides smart solutions through a wide range of technologies for replacing batteries. Since its launch in January 2021, the Jaipur-based organization has opened a dedicated experience for its users. The company asked for help in setting up the unit from the state government of Rajasthan to develop the state's electric vehicle segment. These include capital grants, additional MSME, electricity tax exemption, stamp duty exemption, state land allocation at 0-50% DLC rates in the manufacturing city, SGST aid, employment, and investment incentives. There are currently two products on the HOP list: HOP Leo and HOP Lyf. The company is preparing to launch at least 10 innovative products in the next three years. HOP already owns an 80,000 square meter manufacturing facility in Jaipur that currently produces 7,500 units per month that can be expanded to 15,000 units per month. HOP is also planning to expand its operations and its 120 other units to other major states as well like UP, MP, Gujarat, West Bengal, Telangana, Jharkhand, Punjab, and Bihar.
