A startup in Gujarat, TecSo Charge Zone has installed eight new electric vehicle charging stations on National Highway-8 (NH-8) which connect Ahmedabad to Mumbai. These EV charging stations have a fast charge function and can usually charge an EV in 40 minutes. Each charging station installed here is of 60w power. The company operates approximately 260 EV charging stations and 950 charging ports across India. There are currently about 1,319 electric vehicles in Gujarat. The facility will provide 278 EV charging stations in three Gujarat cities, including Ahmedabad and Vadodara, in its second phase of deploying and manufacturing high-speed electric and high-speed hybrid vehicles (FAME-II). But most of the licensed charging stations are not open yet for people to use. Founder and CEO of Charge Zone, Kartikey Hariyani, said that currently, out of eight stations two will be installed at Mumbai airport.
