prepare the upcoming generation for future industries.

Why is there a need to take EV courses?

EV skills are required to mitigate high unemployment rates. One of the causes causing greater unemployment is a scarcity of such talents. It would be like putting the waggon before the horse if we didn't have enough competent people before EVs hit the roads in huge numbers. As we know, Current engineering and technology courses do not provide industry-ready EV capabilities. Academicians may work on revising the course content to reflect the aforementioned specialisations to promote India's budding electric vehicle revolution. The change to EV-centric courses, on the other hand, necessitates tight collaboration between academics and industry to accelerate the transition to e-mobility. Fortunately, reliable stakeholders in the sector are already providing appropriate EV-aligned courses and skilling programmes. These would not only help to improve domestic production, but they will also help to create jobs, which is something that is desperately needed.

EV skilling programmes will also act as a tailwind for EV adoption across India. In India's 2030 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), electric vehicles are critical for reducing carbon emissions. EV skilling programmes, however, should be ramped up significantly to reach India's ambitious target of 30% e-mobility in the automotive industry by 2030. While range anxiety and charging infrastructure remain impediments to EV adoption, the right skills can help overcome some of these shortcomings. If this occurs, India's 2030 EV objective will always be on track to meet.

Government initiatives

EVI

The Electric Vehicles Initiative (EVI) is a multi-government policy forum aimed at accelerating the acceptance and implementation of electric vehicles. The Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM), a high-level interaction of Energy Ministers from the world's leading countries, established EVI. Canada, Chile, China, Finland, France, Germany, India, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, and the United Kingdom are among the fifteen countries that now participate in EVI. There are many campaigns, programmes & declarations like the EV30@30 campaign, The EVI Global EV Pilot City Programme (EVI-PCP), Government Fleet Declaration under the EVI.

MSME- (PPDC) Meerut

Apart from multiple initiatives undertaken by the Government of India to promote manufacturing and adoption of electric vehicles in India, the Government of India has also taken initiatives in launching online training programmes to prepare the students for upcoming future industries. PPDC Meerut has launched an online training programme for supporting the Indian government's "National electric mobility initiative." With this programme, anyone can learn how to set up a public charging station and come forward to do so. Any ITI or Diploma or 10+2 in any stream having working Experience with Minimum age of 18 years will be available to take up this e-learning course and enrollment in live interactive class sessions of EV.

Conclusion

The future of our Electric Vehicle industry is full of dynamic opportunities for both technical and non-technical aspirants. Students and professionals interested in learning more about the numerous options in electric mobility should enrol in Electric Vehicle training courses regularly to meet their needs. Such programmes assist them in staying informed about the current national market and the industry's latest application-based technical advancements.
